You remember the lovely Hailey & Jin, right? Well, they had a lovely cultural afternoon wedding at Chapel Dulcinea that I attended not only as a photographer but also as a friend, and it was spectacular! Hailey is Chinese and grew up in Vietnam, while Jin is Korean. They wore traditional Korean dress for the ceremony then changed into something a little more comfortable for the reception. I absolutely love the purple. Make sure to notice the purple runner at the chapel as well – gorgeous! This just goes to show a simple, afternoon wedding can be just as gorgeous as any evening black tie affair…and I guarantee there was as much or more heart and love there this day than any 100+ person wedding I’ve been to. Hailey & Jin, you are not only blessed to have each other but to have so many wonderful family & friends who love you so very much! Congratulations and thank you for letting me capture your wedding day!
I’m honored to be friends with people like Hailey & Jin. I met them years ago through my dear friend Ellen and we hit it off immediately. They love to laugh and have fun with each other which made this session so very easy to shoot – not to mention they are a gorgeous couple & brought their sweet little dog Kaiser along too! They have been together 8 years and I’m so happy they have decided to make it official this November. I can’t wait to witness their union, and be part of their wedding day.
You may remember Lauren and Scott from their engagement or family sessions a while back . They are dear friends and I couldn’t have been more happy to photograph their wedding for them. The ceremony was at St. John Neumann here in Austin and it is one of the prettiest churches I’ve seen. There were a few times during the ceremony where I was blinking back tears – Lauren and Scott had a special necklace that they presented to Lauren’s daughter, Abbey, and took a moment during the recessional to remember Scott’s dear father. After the ceremony we took a trip to the Capital grounds for a few photos before heading to the reception at the Stephen F. Austin hotel. A few of my have moments of the day included the first kiss complete with a dip, Lauren, Scott & Abbey’s first dance together, Scott’s sister’s touching toast to the new couple, and of course the send off – complete with bubbles and crossdressing dead bridesmaids in blue. Only in Austin…
Congrats you guys!! Also, thanks so much to Carli & John for assisting me on this one!
Laura and Chris are two of the most fun people I’ve ever met, plus they are two of our best friends! At our wedding, Laura was my husband’s Best Woman and Chris officiated for us. So of course when their 12 year anniversary (yes, TWELVE!) came around, I jumped at the chance to take some photos for them. I admire the love they have for each other and their relationship after 12 years. It’s so wonderful to have them as role models for our marriage. Anytime I need advice or a friendly ear I know I can count on them to be there for me. Congratulations guys – here’s to another wonderful 12 years…plus many, many more. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both!
