Karishma + Adam {Part Two}
Karishma and Adam started Friday off with a run through of both the Hindu and vows ceremonies then a rehearsal dinner with family and wedding party before guests started arriving for Garba. The celebration was held at Memory Lane Event Center and it was really the perfect place for this type of event. Plenty of room for a medium to large-sized gathering and a beautiful setting inside and out.

Karishma’s family got Adam a wonderful gift and gave it to him at rehearsal dinner – a new Tag! He absolutely loved it.

Karishma and her gorgeous bridesmaids before they changed for Garba…

After dinner everyone got changed for Raas-Garba, which is a night of celebratory music, food and dancing. Besides the dances, my favorite thing about Garba are the beautiful outfits everyone wears. Guys typically have on Kurtas which are like long shirts, and the ladies wear beautiful saris or lehenga choli.

How awesome do Karishma & Adam look? They are such a gorgeous couple!!

I loved the decorations in the Pavillion courtesy of Dhoom Decorations.
I think Karishma’s Uncle put them up to this. Haha!!

It’s time for Garba to begin! Everyone was having such a good time…I admit I wanted to join in really bad, but I held back. Haha!

Then after a short break everyone grabbed a pair of dandia to dance the raas. During the Rass there are five steps and you are hitting your partners dandia with your own to the music, then you switch partners. It’s pretty easy once you get the hang of it – but watch your fingers! (OW!)

Daniel and I had a wonderful time photographing the Raas-Garba, and NOW I’m excited to say we can move on to the wedding for Part 3 (and maybe Part 4 depending on how many I can narrow it down to…I have sooooo many favorites!).
Karishma + Adam {Part One}
I have so much I want to say about Karishma and Adam…but I think I’ll save that for the actual wedding celebration posts (YES – Plural!). For now I’ll just share some images from Karishma’s bridal mehndi on Wednesday and the mehndi party on Thursday for family & friends.
The celebration was at Karishma’s parents beautiful home in Westlake and her Grandmother decorated the walkway to the house. It really set the tone before you walked in!

While the girls were busy inside cooking and talking the guys were busy hanging out and decorating the back yard.

Karishma wore a Sari her Aunt made from fabric they hand selected while in India. How gorgeous is that!!

Adam took a break from decorating to see if he could find his name hidden in the mehndi. Can you see it?

Anju added some glitter to the finished mehndi to give an extra pop of color for the photos. Doesn’t it look amazing!!

The hard part is moving around after you have all that mehndi done – which is kinda the point.

The next day Karishma & Adam’s family & wedding party came over to celebrate and have their own mehndi done.

Thanks to Anju Garg for a beautiful job with the bridal and guests mehndi, and Jenny DeMarco for covering the guests Mehndi party on Thursday night. Stay tuned for the next night of Adam & Karishma’s wedding celebration…Raas-Garba!!
Lindsay’s Bridals + A Little Sneak Peek
Lindsay and two of her sweet bridesmaids and I wandered around the Blanton and UT campus a few weeks ago to get some shots of her in THE dress. Since school is in session we ended up running into a lot of people milling around, so Lindsay also got lots of ‘Congratulations’ and sweet folks telling her how stunning she looked. And that she does! Here are a few of my faves from the day – AND at the end a little sneak peek of Lindsay & Luke’s fantastic wedding day at the Duchman Family Winery which was this past Friday.

And a little sneak peek of the newlyweds…oh, Um – well it looks like they want some privacy for now!! Check back soon for Luke and Lindsay’s wedding day – but until then if you haven’t already seen their awesome engagement session, hop on over and take a peek at that now!!
